Wine enthusiasts interested in tasting at their favorite wineries and trying new ones, but concerned with transportation peace of mind, now have an affordable alternative to an organized tour or limousine service. The following are some frequently asked questions which may be helpful to you in determining if my service is appropriate for your circumstances:

Q. In what areas do you provide designated driver service?
A. Primarily in the Willamette Valley wine country of Oregon. Also, the Columbia River Gorge area wineries of Oregon and Washington.
Q. Do you recommend specific vineyards or wineries?
A. Not typically. Self-Directed Wine Tour presumes that you will determine which wineries to visit (I can create a logical routing upon request). Just think of me as your personal designated driver.
Q. How many drivers are there at Drive Pro?
A. Just one. Scott Thompson is the owner and your driver.
Q. How many people can you take on a tour?
A. I specialize in smaller groups, parties of four or less; however under certain conditions, larger groups can be accommodated.
Q. Do you group people together?
A. No. Your reservation is dedicated to you or your group only.
Q. What days are your services available?
A. Seven days a week in the months of April through October, subject to confirmed bookings. Limited availability or referrals Nov thru March.
Q. Do you provide the vehicle or can you drive my car, or my rental?
A. Either! The primary advantage of driving my client's car (or rental car) is reduced cost. The primary advantages of Drive Pro vehicles are comfort, reliability, and complete peace of mind.
Q. If my rental car is used, does your insurance cover it?
A. When you rent your vehicle, you can add me as an additional driver to the rental agreement at most agencies with just a copy of my driver's license. Check with your rental agency in advance.
Q. How far in advance do I need to book?
A. At least two weeks, if possible; however, I'm happy to accommodate last minute bookings subject to schedule availability.
Q. What is the cost for your service?
A. The total cost for the day is based on your vehicle preference and an hourly rate (plus surcharge, if applicable). Email me for a price chart.
Q. Do you offer any discounts?
A. Certainly: 10% off on Wednesdays; lowest rate if client's vehicle is used; multi-day discounts; and of course, a client loyalty discount.
Q. What form(s) of payment do you accept?
A. Cash, credit cards, Venmo, and PayPal.
